The role of the NRMC is to provide a community and local perspective to the functions of the CMA that have a community interface. The NRMC considers the views of the community, scientific input, government policy and management in delivering the Regional Catchment Strategy. In making decisions, the NRMC acts in the best interest of the region as a whole.
