Loddon flow to target fish
Fish will be on the move in the lower Loddon River over the Easter weekend, with an environmental flow to be delivered to support the ongoing flood-recovery in the lower-Loddon River.
Flows will ramp up from today (Monday) to a peak on Wednesday of about 400 ML a day for six days, then it will be gradually ramped back down to 50 ML a day over the course of 12 days.
The flow aims to trigger the upstream movement of golden and silver perch and Murray cod in the lower-Loddon River and Pyramid Creek system, and it will also increase river productivity and support water bugs.
The flow is not anticipated to impact on river access for recreational users.
