Free Workshop for Landcare and Community Groups

12 Oct 2011

Members of Landcare or community groups or anyone interested in joining their local group are invited to attend a free workshop where ideas to increase and rejuvenate membership will be the topic of conversation.

Hosted by the North Central Catchment Management Authority (CMA) the workshops are planned for Castlemaine on Saturday 22 October and Wedderburn on Sunday 23 October.

Ms Ashley Beven, North Central CMA’s Regional Landcare Facilitator said the workshops promise to be a great day which no Landcare or community group should miss.  “The workshops are about harnessing the power of reinvention to spark new zest and enthusiasm in your Landcare or community group”.

“We have been fortunate to secure ‘change consultant’ Mr Les Robinson to facilitate.  The workshops will be interactive where great communication ideas for your group will be discussed together with ample opportunity for groups to share there own experiences.”

Ms Beven confirmed that one method which will be explored during the workshops will be ‘Passion Mashing’; whereby unexpected passions are mashed together.  For example, a canoeing activity with Landcare to create a new concept and new experience.

Please RSVP to the North Central CMA by 5 pm Thursday 20 October 2011 on (03) 5448 7124 or email info@nccma.vic.gov.au, indicating any dietary requirements.
