Campaspe fresh brought forward

23 Mar 2023

We’ve moved forward our planned Campaspe River autumn fresh flow from next week to today to manage a minor fall in dissolved oxygen levels in a small section of the river.

Up to 200 megalitres a day, plus ramping up and down, will be released from the Eppalock reservoir in the next three days.

The low oxygen levels in the mid reach of the river aren’t critical, and there have been no reports of fish deaths. This is purely a precautionary move.

The dissolved oxygen levels in the rest of the river are normal for this time of year.

We’ll keep monitoring the river downstream from Eppalock.

Any river rises will be minimal.
