North Central Catchment Management Authority (CMA) Chairman David Clark, announced today that CMA Board member James Williams had been granted a leave of absence from his CMA responsibilities until the Council elections are determined on 27 October.

“James, like all Board members, has a broad knowledge and passion for the regional environment, and it is only logical that environmental issues will feature as a part of his campaign,” said David Clark.

“The leave of absence makes it clear that the views James expresses on issues during the course of the election campaign are his personal ones, and do not reflect the collective view or policy direction of the North Central CMA,” observed David Clark.
