Ted Gretgrix
Ted grew up on a wheat/sheep farm on the border of the Wimmera and Mallee. After school and a couple of years of National Service he farmed there till 1982 when he relocated to a farm just north of Bendigo at Bagshot. This property was mainly merino sheep with lucerne and crops, where he farmed with his wife, Cheryl ,until 2000.
When none of their five children chose to farm they shifted to Mandurang next to One Tree Hill National Park. Ted managed the Rural Financial Counselling Service until 2014 and since retirement has pursued his interests in travel, sport and the environment.
An original member of the Catchment and Land Protection and North Central CMA Boards, Ted hopes to further assist shape community values on decisions about our future landscapes.
Ted is the Chair of the Campaspe EWAG and a member of our Regional Engagement Committee.
