Citizen Science

Citizen Science is the collection and analysis of scientific data, performed predominantly by citizens, usually in collaboration with scientists and experts.

The Victorian WaterWatch Program has been connecting local communities with waterway health and sustainable water management issues since 1993. Through the WaterWatch Program, citizen scientists are supported and encouraged to become actively involved in local waterway monitoring and on-ground activities.

River Detectives

The Volunteer Toolkit is a central location for volunteers looking for any links for utilising monitoring equipment, educating on the significance of the data being collected, and OHS protocols and acknowledgements related to your involvement as a Citizen Scientist.
