Construction of a rock chute in action

The original concrete erosion control structure at this site was damaged during the 2011 floods - the construction works shown in the time-lapse were undertaken as part of our flood recovery program.

The site has been revegetated and has stock excluded, which provides an important longer term solution to the erosion.

The left and right banks of a waterway are identified while facing downstream or in the direction of the flow of the waterway. This video was filmed facing upstream so the left and right batters (banks) described on the video appear opposite.
