Adopting Sustainable Farming Practices
The project aims to explore, demonstrate and share knowledge on land use options suitable for the Loddon Campaspe Irrigation Region with a focus on land that has previously been irrigated. The project runs a number of events including forums, workshops, information sessions, farm walks and field days that are open to the farming community. Newsletters, newspaper articles and case studies will also be produced to promote the findings of the project.

The project is funded through the Australian Government's Caring for our Country Initiative to specifically increase sustainable farm and land management practices that deliver improved ecosystem services (primarily reducing erosion and increasing soil carbon). The project runs until September 2012.
