In August 1909, widespread flooding occurred throughout Victoria, and the Loddon River and other waterways in this region experienced their largest recorded flood.
To mark the centenary of this event, the North Central Catchment Management Authority sought copies of images (e.g. photos, sketches) depicting the 1909 floods in North Central Victoria. Some of the images colleced will be used to produce a commemorative publication to remind us of the impacts (positive and negative) of floods.
North Central CMA is hoping to launch this publication in National Water Week, which this year runs from the 18th to the 24th of October.
